When considering an addiction treatment facility, it is important to choose one that features a wide variety of treatment options. Here at Serenity Lane in Oregon, we realize that treatment and recovery is never a universal experience. Our approach to treatment places emphasis on individualized treatment to encourage strong and lasting results.
The following inpatient/residential and outpatient programs are currently available for adults, 18 years of age or older.
You gave me my wife back. First Serenity Lane saved her life and then the continued recovery program gave her one. ~Jeff
Our residential inpatient treatment program is designed to help you establish a solid foundation in your recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. We achieve this by providing stabilization and crisis intervention, as well as around-the-clock medically supervised detoxification. This program combines intensive group therapy with individual counseling and education about the disease of addiction.
This is the first step in your journey to recovery. Serenity Lane’s medical staff carefully monitors patients to ensure a safe withdrawal from drugs and alcohol while doing everything in their power to curb the symptoms of withdrawal. Like all of our approaches to treatment, this process is individualized. Because of this, the length of your stay will vary.
Our nursing staff, physicians, psychiatrists, and assigned counselors will work together to develop a treatment plan to specifically address the needs of the patient. Once the patient’s medical condition has stabilized, our physicians will arrange for transfer into our residential treatment program.
Serenity Lane’s residential and licensed special care addiction treatment facilities are located on a private 14-acre campus in Coburg, Oregon.
Once patients are medically stabilized, they are then moved to our beautiful facilities to live on-campus and attend comprehensive treatment programming. After being assigned a compassionate counselor, patients will follow a set schedule of treatment activities throughout the week.
Group therapy is the primary form of treatment for substance use disorder and is used extensively here at Serenity Lane. However, individual counseling is also available to patients on an “as needed” basis, during the treatment period. On weekdays, the group will meet each morning and afternoon to explore problems, feelings, changes, and conflicts that come up in the treatment process. Patients will be oriented to the group and assigned a “buddy”. This is someone who is further along in treatment and can help explain rules and ease the transition into the group environment.
Our Spiritual Advisor is available to assist with spiritual needs as well. The term “Higher Power” is often used in treatment and refers to a personal belief in a resource which gives one inner strength. Of course, interaction with our Spiritual Advisor is entirely optional but is available to help in your journey toward recovery.
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is the use of FDA-approved medications, such as naltrexone, buprenorphine, and methadone in combination with clinical therapies for the treatment of opioid use disorders.
We drew upon our 45 years of experience treating substance use disorders, evidence-based methods of care, and industry-led practices to develop our MAT program.
Our medically-driven program is designed to produce the best possible outcomes for patients. A dedicated medical team that includes Serenity Lane’s medical director, Dr. Eric Geisler, who is certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine, has overseen and managed the design and implementation of this program.
Key elements of the program include:
