WE ADMIT 7 DAYS A WEEK
Same day admissions possible - Most insurance accepted
Nearly one in five Oregonians is living with a substance use disorder – and too many of them never get the help they need. Not because they don't want it, but because taking that first step feels impossible.
At Serenity Lane, we've spent over 50 years making that first step easier. We admit 7 days a week, same-day admissions are possible, and every call is completely confidential. When you're ready – or even if you just want to talk about it – someone is here.
Serenity Lane's programs are open to adults 18 and older who are coping with substance use disorders, including those with co-occurring mental health conditions. You don't need a referral, a diagnosis, or a plan. You just need to be ready to take the first step.
Whether you're calling for yourself or someone you love, our admissions team can handle it all.
Approximately 5.8 percent—or 14.4 million—adults in the United States ages 18 and older had AUD in 2018.
Our programs offer a full continuum of care so clients can move through each level of treatment as their needs change without having to start over somewhere new. Every treatment plan is built around the individual, not a template.
If you are not sure where you fit into this picture, that's exactly what the first call is for.
The first call doesn't have to be perfect. You don't need the right words. Our admissions team has been handling these conversations since 1973 – many of our staff are in recovery themselves, they know what it feels like to make the first call, and they're trained to meet you exactly where you are.
Here's what happens from that first conversation through your first day of treatment.
Cost is one of the most common reasons people delay getting help – and one of the most important things to be clear about from the beginning. Serenity Lane is a non-profit organization, which means we work to keep care accessible and fees as low as possible. Our admissions team will walk you through your coverage and any out-of-pocket costs before you commit to anything. Here's what to expect.
Insurance Verification: Our admissions team can verify your benefits on the first call at no charge.
Serenity Lane is in-network with most major providers, including:
If your provider isn't on this list, call us anyway! Our team works with a wide range of plans and will find out exactly what your benefits cover.
Out-of-Pocket Costs After Insurance: Here's what the typical cost picture looks like.
| Insurance coverage | Historically covers 70–75% of total treatment charges |
| Out-of-pocket estimate | Provided at admission, so there are no surprises |
| Payment plans | Available for qualifying patients |
| Cash discounts | Available in certain situations |
| Financial assistance | Limited scholarships available for those who qualify |
View the Financial Assistance Application or ask our admissions team about your options. Cost should never be the reason someone doesn't get help. Let us work through the numbers with you.
Once you've decided to admit, a little preparation before you arrive makes the first days of treatment less overwhelming and smoother for you and the people in your life.
Here's a simple checklist to work through:
Serenity Lane's Coburg campus is located on a private 14-acre property in Coburg, Oregon, just outside Eugene. If getting there feels like a barrier, don't let it stop you. Depending on your situation, options may include driving yourself or being dropped off, coordinating a rideshare, or assistance with scheduling travel if you are coming from farther away.
Serenity Lane can help coordinate transportation when it's needed. Call our admissions team at 800-543-9905 to talk through what makes the most sense for your situation. Getting to treatment is the only thing that matters; we'll help figure out the rest.
There's no single answer, and anyone who says otherwise isn't being honest with you.
The length of your stay is based on your individual needs, not a predetermined timeline.
Here's a general breakdown of what to expect at each level of care:
| Level of Care | Typical Duration |
|---|---|
| Detox | Minimum 1 day; varies by substance and medical history |
| Residential Treatment | Typically 30–60 days |
| Long-Term Residential | 90+ days for complex needs or relapse history |
| Intensive Outpatient (IOP) | 10 weeks (3 hours, 3x per week) |
| Level I Outpatient | 44 weeks or longer (1.5 hours, once per week) |
The length of your stay isn't set when you walk in; it's shaped by your progress, your clinical needs, and what your life looks like outside of treatment. Research consistently shows that longer treatment duration leads to better long-term outcomes.
Deciding who to tell and what to say is one of the most personal parts of going into treatment. There's no one right answer, and you don't have to share more than you're comfortable with. What matters most is protecting your privacy, your job, and your relationships while getting the care you need.
Here's what's worth knowing as you navigate those conversations:
Most people find that being honest – with at least the people closest to them – lifts a weight they didn't realize they were carrying. You don't have to announce it to the world. But letting a few trusted people in often makes the journey a lot less lonely.
Don't wait any longer to live the full life you deserve. The team at Serenity Lane can guide you to freedom from addiction.
Arriving prepared takes one thing off your plate when you walk through the door. Pack for at least 7–14 days with one suitcase and one carry-on – storage space is limited, and laundry facilities are available on-site.
Here's a clear breakdown of what's allowed and what isn't.

A note on phones and devices: Cell phones, tablets, and laptops are allowed at Serenity Lane. Devices may be used in patient rooms during free time only, to minimize distractions from programming and protect patient confidentiality. Review the full Cell Phone, Tablet & Laptop Guidelines before arrival.
If you arrive with items that aren't permitted, they'll be held or removed by staff – so it's worth reviewing this list before you pack.
The first few days of treatment are about one thing: safety and stability. You don't need to have everything figured out. You don't need to be ready to tackle everything at once. Our clinical team guides you every step of the way, and nothing happens without your understanding of what comes next.
Here's what to expect when you arrive:
The pace of those early days is set by your body and your clinical team, not by a clock. Most people find that once they're through those first 48 hours, something starts to shift. That's where recovery begins.
Family involvement is one of the strongest predictors of long-term recovery. Serenity Lane's Family Program is built to support the people who love someone in treatment – not just the client.
Here's how to stay connected during your loved one's stay.
