WE ADMIT 7 DAYS A WEEK
Same day admissions possible - Most insurance accepted
Serenity Lane is a licensed, non-profit addiction treatment provider serving Oregon communities since 1973 with a full continuum of care – from medically supervised detox and residential treatment to outpatient programs across the state.
Oregon currently has a 49% gap in substance use disorder services, meaning nearly half of the people who need treatment in this state can't access it. That gap has existed for decades, and it's exactly why Serenity Lane was built.
At Serenity Lane, we've spent over 50 years working to close that gap. One person, one family, one community at a time. We admit 7 days a week, same-day admissions are possible, and we're here 24/7. Recovery is possible. We've seen it thousands of times.
Serenity Lane exists for one reason. To help people get their lives back. That mission shapes every decision we make – from how we staff our clinical teams to how we design our aftercare programs.
These are the standards we hold ourselves to every day. Measured through outcomes data, client feedback, and the accountability that comes from being a non-profit whose only job is helping people recover.
Choosing a treatment provider is one of the most consequential decisions a person can make. Credentials and accreditation are the clearest way to verify that a program meets an independent standard of quality, not just its own.

CARF accreditation isn't a one-time achievement. It's a commitment we renew continuously. For clients and families evaluating their options, it's one of the most meaningful signals that a program takes accountability seriously.
The team at Serenity Lane always has professionals standing by, ready to take your inquiry and get you the help you need. Give us a call for a confidential conversation about changing the rest of your life. Or, you can email us here.
Serenity Lane's history is, in many ways, Oregon's history of addiction treatment. We've been here through every shift in the field – from the early days of residential care to the integration of mental health treatment, medication-assisted therapy, and the development of Oregon's counselor training infrastructure.

More than 50 years in, Serenity Lane remains what it has always been: a non-profit organization whose sole purpose is helping people recover.
Serenity Lane serves communities across Oregon through one inpatient residential campus and six outpatient locations. Wherever you are in the state, there's a level of care within reach.

Serenity Lane's clinical and operational leadership brings together decades of experience across addiction medicine, behavioral health, clinical operations, nursing, and public service.
Many of our leaders have personal connections to the mission. Including President and CEO Pete Kerns, son of founder Dr. Thomas A. Kerns, who has spent over three decades in public service before returning to lead the organization his father built. That kind of connection shapes not just how our leaders lead, but how they show up for clients every day.

Serenity Lane's core values aren't a mission statement footnote. They are operational. And they show up in how we staff our programs, how we involve families, and how we stay accountable to the people who trust us with their care.
These values have guided this organization since 1973. They're the reason our staff stays, our alumni come back, and our clients trust us with the hardest chapters of their lives.
We are in-network for most major insurance providers, further reducing out-of-pocket costs for our patients.

Serenity Lane has been tracking treatment outcomes since 1986, decades before it became standard practice in the behavioral health field. We believe accountability to the people we serve means measuring what actually happens after treatment, not just what happens during it.
Key areas tracked across our outcome studies include:
The full dataset, spanning 1986 to 2023, is available for direct download.
Results matter – but publishing them matters more. Outcome tracking is how we hold ourselves to a standard that goes beyond accreditation and how prospective clients and referring providers can evaluate us based on evidence, not just reputation.
There are good treatment options in Oregon. Here's what consistently sets Serenity Lane apart and why clients, families, and referring providers have trusted us for over five decades.
Choosing a treatment center is one of the most important decisions you'll ever make. We think Serenity Lane earns that trust, and we're committed to continuing to deserve it every day.
Serenity Lane's team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, across seven locations in Oregon. Same-day admissions are possible, and most insurance is accepted. Whether you are calling for yourself, a loved one, or a patient you refer for care – we are ready to help you figure out the right next step.
