Serenity Lane has outpatient offices in Albany, Bend, Eugene, Portland, Roseburg and Salem in addition to our inpatient facility in Coburg. Our outpatient teams are proud members of their communities who bring the same compassionate and professional care to their patients found throughout the Serenity Lane lines of service. Dr. Frederick Staten, Ph.D., LPC, CADC III

Clinical Director of Outpatient Services
 

With over two decades of experience in behavioral health, addiction services, and crisis management, Dr. Staten brings a deep commitment to clinical excellence, community engagement, and strategic leadership.

Holding a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation and Counselor Education, along with a Licensed Professional Counselor, CADC III, and Registered Gambling Counselor certifications, Dr. Staten has served in key roles across Oregon Health Authority, CareOregon, Multnomah County, and more recently, Oregon Change Clinic. His background reflects a remarkable blend of operational vision and hands-on therapeutic expertise, making him an ideal addition to our mission-driven organization.

Dr. Staten works closely with the two Regional Directors of Outpatient Services; Patrice Crisp and Glenn Deveney and calls our Portland Outpatient Offcice his home base. We're grateful for the insight, compassion, and forward-thinking energy Dr. Staten adds
to our leadership team.

Patrice Crisp, CADC II

Regional Director of Outpatient Services
 
Patrice began at Serenity Lane in 2011 as a student in the Counselor in Training Program and has been in management and leadership since 2016.Patrice has an Associate's degree in Human Services Management and a Bachelor's degree in psychology. As an ASAM trainer and passionate leader, Patrice is dedicated to supporting our outpatient team in meeting the needs of individuals suffering from substance use disorders. 
 
Patrice's real-world experience motivates her dedication to providing compassionate, nonjudgmental care. She is passionate about the importance of educating and supporting family members on their own recovery journey. She believes Serenity Lane’s outpatient services continue to save lives, repair families, and strengthen communities.
 
Patrice is active in her community, currently serving on the board of CHANCE. She finds balance by spending time with loved ones, including her lively puppy.

Glenn Deveney, CADC II, QMHA II, CRM II, PSS

Regional Director of Outpatient Services

Glenn oversees the development and expansion of peer support services and other special projects in the Outpatient program. He comes to this work as a previous Intensive Outpatient, Level One Outpatient, DUII Counselor and Clinical Supervisor at Serenity Lane and long time Manager of the Bend office, a position he still holds in addition to his other duties. Prior to his work as a counselor with Serenity Lane, Glenn worked in retail management and appliance repair-both which show in his friendly customer service attitude and commitment to the community. Glenn is dedicated to helping people succeed in recovery. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his family

John Ford

John Ford, CADC II, QMHA II, CRM II, THW, PSS, CPE

Eugene Program Manager

John brings over twenty years of experience in the areas of addiction and mental health prevention and treatment, sales, outreach, and management. He is also certified in three different models of parenting education.

When John is not working, he enjoys fly fishing - as seen when he worked on our Coburg Campus and showed patients how to cast lines by the pond - and coaching softball.

He is known to be caring, intelligent and a creative innovator with a passion for helping those seeking recovery. Patients remember their time with John fondly and are eager to engage in active sober lives after time with him.

John shows proactive leadership by creating sober community programming for patients and alumni in the form of spirited trivia nights and ping pong tournaments.
