Hello,
It is with great excitement and gratitude that I share the news with you about some leadership changes at Serenity Lane.
Pete Kerns, known to many of you for his distinguished 36 years of service with the Eugene Police Department and, most recently Chief of Staff of the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Lane County, has accepted the position of President and CEO of Serenity Lane. He will begin transition work immediately with a start date to be set before my official retirement August 1st. Pete is also the son of our co-founder, Dr. Tom Kerns.
I am also pleased to share that Dustin Stapleton will be stepping into the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). Dustin has served as VP of Finance for the last five years. His planning and management of our business operations ha
ve made many of our biggest accomplishments possible. In this new role, Dustin will help advise and support Pete in his leadership, manage key business development initiatives, and oversee day-to-day operations.
The board will meet next month for our annual retreat and review. Our top order of business at this retreat will be to begin work on our new strategic plan.
I look forward to sharing our updated strategic vision as we move ahead.
Thank you,
Mike Dyer
President and CEO
